Apologies for dragging up an old thread, but we have had two crazy 500 drivers waving with BOTH hands in the past two weeks. That deserves 10 out of 10 for enthusiasm in my book!

One was in South Devon and the other was in Mid Devon. I now await with baited breath as to what the 500 drivers of North, East and West Devon will do when we next pass each other...(y)

I got my first wave returned last week - and she was quite cute.*

I had a two handed wave from a girl in a BNW last week in Mid Devon.
Took me by surprise, but still waved back.

Had a wave from a couple of red owners as we notice each other a bit more, I guess.
(the cars were red, not the owners!)

Oh I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm always dying to wave but daren't! Especially since I'm finding that I see the same ones around where I live..... Stuff it I'm going to give it ago! I'll be gutted if they don't wave back :-(

I used to own a classic mini and waving was more common and important than keeping control of the wheel

I hope 500's follow the trend asap, I miss waving at strangers:nutter:

If I go down the country where my Grandparents used to live all those out walking or on bicycles would 'tip the hat' as you're going past when they see a registration from the 'Big Smoke'. I'd always raise the hand so they would not feel awkward. They know that I'm down to see someone that they possibly know.
