The past few weeks I've noticed everything in my spacesaver bit is soaking wet. The underside of my boot carpet is covered in mould (got it off now) due to the wetness. I think the boot isn't closing properly.

Anyone had this before? Any idea where the water is coming from?

Also worth checking ur rearwiper sealant. Read somewhere in the forum about this, had the same problem. Sent my car to dealer n they put new sealant n no problem now

lift both of the roof black plastic trims and have a look near the rear of them on the roof skin in the gap they have a habit of spliting on bravos and letting water in mine did you will see cracks in the sealer and possibly rust if the water has penetrated

I had a constantly wet boot in an old Bravo ( new at the time ) and the dealer couldn't sort it. A couple of weeks before I part exchanged it, I planted a load of water cress seed and had a lovely carpet of watercress covering the whole boot. Childish I know, but I'd love to have seen their faces.

I've got a 58 Bravo with exactly this problem. The boot floor is dry- if you open it you wouldn't think there is a problem but the left (nearside) has a bit of dampness near the wheelarch material at the bottom.

If you lift the boot floor, the spare wheel has water collecting in that bit and the underside of the boot carpet is wet. It is dry today so dried it out completely - went out to get shopping and fuel- came back and more water was there....

Think it is spray entering it somehow, although I guess it could be a seal/drain. I really don't understand it but water leaks are terrible things. My Dad's Skoda had a door seal problem- ended up with the rear mats floating in 2 inches of water one night.

Get it booked into the dealer next week as it is under warrenty but anyone had similar symptoms before that can give me pointers?

I had noticed the rear window was wet each time i went into the car and today some stuff i put in the boot wad wet

so i lifted the carpet and ive got 2 inches of water in the tyre well

Car is 3 weeks old:eek:

Its going in for the knock problem on tuesday so they can look at it then:bang:

Have you checked the wheel arch area?

My Bravo had a missing grommet near the rear lights and its seal which can cause leaks- known problem according to dealers.

Check to see if it's damp along the edge of the wheel arch but not at the other side and if you can get your hand inside is the foam packing wet?

Bang on Flyingscot

The guy who puts these grommets in must have went for a pee when my car came through :D

sorted now hopefully
