Technical W Reg 1.2 Sporting Remote Locking?

Does anyone know if the 2000 W Reg Sporting comes with remote central locking? And if it doesn't can fiat add it, or is it best to go to a maplin type place for a kit?

i am 95% sure it comes with eremote lokcing the sporting is pretty high spec especially on a 2000 w reg

In everything i've read about it, it says that it does, and my key would suggest it would, but nothing happens when i press what should be the button, and i just unlock it normally (manually) and it's always been that way. I guess i should take it to a fiat garage and ask them!

I would also think it should have it, but try looking on Parkers www.parkers.co.uk should give the specs for the model.

when you press the button. wich is like ablue bar, you should se a little red light on the key fob light up. if it doesnt then it maybe the battery has gone.

how ever as its been a while im can teh key lose its code if battery is dead and not used for ages???? someone may know

Amazingly it does actually work, you've just got to press it really hard. The rubber button has disappeared, so it's difficult to press what's underneath, but i'm still shocked that I never knew the car had it.
I'll try and get a new key with a better button, when funds allow.
