Easy fix plastic glue needed quick. If you loose coolant try running with the cap unlocked to remove the pressure. Looks like the header tank may be getting ready to dump on you. Dont fiddle with it, just top up would me my advice until you are home no risk of breaking the hose attachment nipple off.Sat 22/06/24
Last day, and need to pack for an early start (07-00'ish) to Gravere, Italy.
Satnav says 498kms and 8.5hrs, so I'll plan for 12hrs, and hopefully arrive around 18-00, I'll take a few routes of my own so who knows.
I have a new plan for this leg of the journey, I've made a list of all the places I want to head for, on my designated route, rather than relying totally on where the satnav takes me.
Checked fluids, and even got around to giving it a wash

I did notice however, the coolant level was at minimum, and evidence of dried coolant on the joint lip of the reservoir tank.

I did tighten the pipe previously when I noticed this issue, but it doesn't seem to have cured it, I also flexed the joint without over doing it, and it seemed quite solid. I'll keep an eye on it. It's done nearly a 1000 miles, so it's not exactly pouring out. (yet)
Really normal to see this from that place with air con.You Sure that's not the aircon drain..?
I thought that too, but the boiling point is raised by having the system under pressure, so if I lower the pressure it could run the risk of over heating prematurely.try running with the cap unlocked to remove the pressure.
Not on a recent car, Ive done this before no probs. Put the pressure cap back firmly if altitude increases and you should be Ok.I thought that too, but the boiling point is raised by having the system under pressure, so if I lower the pressure it could run the risk of over heating prematurely.
That reminds me of the old trick quiz question. His TukTuk
Is closely related to a Vespa scooter (Piaggio..) and known as an "Apecar"
Lovely scenery.. Is this dodging the MontBlac tunnel, or are you nearer to the Med coast?

Signed up for Epass24, apparently many of Sweden, and Norways roads are toll roads, and you number plates are constantly being read along the motorways, and you don't have to slow down for them to read. They can also spot fine you for completing sections too fast!. There are addition fines for late payment etc, so signed up, better late than never.

Arrived at The Yellow House, Stathelle 17:45hrs
ODO: 75427
Complete dive of a shed furnished with what looks like the contents of a charity shop, couldn't sleep in the bed, had to use the sofa, and that was only moderately cleaner, kept my clothes on for fear of being bitten by creepy crawly critters. Sprayed the whole inside area with Raid, which I carry with me since Poland.
Lighting almost none existent, good job I have my camping gear.
Tues 23rd
Went to the local stores, bought my groceries, and the other half of the building was a charity shop, who would have thought?
Glad to get out of here.
Checked fluids, oil fine, coolant fine, tyre fine.

Always helps when your landlord has the same car
Arrived Mygdal Hus, near Skagen 19:00hrs
ODO: 75643
The owners met me at the gate, turned out to be a lovely Hungarian couple, (Steffan & Ava) Steffan quickly introduced me to his own brew of 52% Parlinka (Brandy), Steffans friend (Paal) also turned up to provide translation, I almost never got time to get my things out of the car, after they plied me with food and drink for the evening I hit the sack, and was out instantly.

Thurs 25th
Paal arrived about 10 oclock, to take us all to Skagen, as I'd asked about what to see in Denmark.
At the point they say "where the two seas met" I counted 26 ships across the horizon.
