Yeah(y) that look very nice. Red will be great:)(y). Suzuki´s will be fit? Really?
It´s better to buy shackles or fabricate them? What do you think?

I think you need to get the tape measure or ruler out and check the mountings for a Panda and a zook and see if they are close enough for the shackles to work.

It's no good buying the shackles if the Panda spring mountings are not wide enough, or if they catch.

So I guess your next move is to pounce on a local SJ and compare spring mounts :)

I think that i will fabricate it without some comparing. I will measure it and make it the best:D. I think it won´t be problem to make it.
And if it will break I can be angry on my own and don´t pay for it;):D

Hi Martin, good luck with your project. If you lift the suspension by much you will increase the angle the propshaft u/j's work at and they will wear out quickly, to overcome this you may have to have fit a double cardan propshaft, or a wide yoke prop to prevent binding. I can't give you a figure for a Panda, but for a Land Rover, a lift of more than 50 mm often requires longer brake lines and a modified prop. With a Panda it may be less. Nothing insurmountable though(y)

Hello Mike. Thanks a lot. At first I want to screw down the shackles from springs or chasis and try what will happening when I start to putting down the axel. I don´t want to lift it very much like for some rock climbing in the USA:)
I think that it won´t be more than 50 milimetres. And I hope that it won´t be so bad with that uj. But I am affraid that it will:(. But I have lift the front by 33 milimetres and I was affraid too but everything is allright and didn´t have to make longer brake lines or front shafts joints (sorry I dont know right name of it) aren´t in some terrible angle. So if I will have small luck again It will be right again:). But thanks again because I didn´t thought about that brake lines or wrong uj.

If you are lifting the body from the axle... then why could there be a problem with the UJ? axle in theory stays at the same level surely.. obviously if the wheels are bigger then the axle will lift but if there the measurements between stock and lifted stay the same then the prop wont be at any more of an angle?

Thanks a lot again(y). I hope that I find some way to do it. And with your advices guys I´ve got big chance to do it right:).

Hi Aca, I don´t find anything abot it so I will try it as I saw it on Campagnola. It has really simple design and it work there som I think it can work on Panda too:). Now I don´t work on my Panda:(. I don´t have time and some garage to do it:(. So I have to wait and think it over very good. I´ got sometimes problems with buying some parts:(. But I won´t give it up:)

I want to ask something you guys. How can I find out real year of made of my Panda? I was looking there on FF and I found some threads about it but my problem is that everywhere I write the VIN it can´t find anything or it say that the VIN is wrong:cry:. Interesting is that it´s Trekking but I found somewhere that Trekking´s had 1108ccm and injection. But my has new mask and "Trekking" on side like every Trekking but it has old type of engine - without injection. The clutch is old type too - like they said in shop, and more details like that:cry:.

And that´s the reason for my problems(that problems that I wrote befour) with buying parts. It´s not problem with sortiment in our Slovak shops but with the unknown right year of made of the car. Everything I want to buy I have to show in shop and then I can buy it for my strange Panda:cry:.

Can anybody identify my Panda by these informations?(if you need more just answer I´l say everithing I know about it:))
I thought that it´s 1991 because this year they were changing that mask but how I find somewhere the 1108ccm engine with injection start making in 1992. But am I right? Is there anybody who knows it please?
Thanks for answers or some help.

(I don´t want to start new thread so sorry if it make some problems)

As far as I know when 4x4s stopped being sold in the UK is when they changed to 1108 and injection. I think they stopped being sold in the UK in early 1992 so any 4x4 that is before this will be a 999 with a carb.

Maybe you car is a change over model so it had the older engine but new badging and trim?

Thank you(y)!
Yes that´s what I thought too.
So I have to buy old model parts? Or do you know if there were some other changes too?
It´s terrible when I come to the shop and want something on Panda and they say that this part has 4 diffrent types...

Ehm... In Slovakia is very possible that the year in the certificate isn´t very truthfull:D so...
There is some Panda that is Mk1 on first sight but in that certificate was 1996:D. That is small problem there because there is often wrote date of first registration but not of made.
No coment to our system...:D

default_user:Thanks but I try it there too but nothing. I must go and write VIN again. Maybe I do there some mistake but I don´t have car at home so next time when I "meet" my car I will write it.
