Yeah Martin thats normal for Panda community, if you not belive me just visit Japan Panda fan- sight: http://meguru.jp/

More tips for rear height. As I understand Portugeese sight, (section 4x4 tips), point for increasing rear axel height is to simultaniously add steel tails (described in word doc) between rear absorber steel slices and into same time insert steel plate of same height between diferential mount and chasis. This will put down compleete axel and diferential lower from chasis.
You mention strange noises after use of 4x4 mode and diff-blocade. I have this probs onto Nissan Patrol - regullary.......Tip is: after you push down 4x4 bar down in cabbin - to switch into 4x2 mode, and after you turn counterclockwise black buttons into center of all wheels - to turn off differential-blocade, (may be you will still hear noices of 4x4 and blocade mode, and even dashboard indicator for 4x4 will lights too), just stop the wehicle (full-stop), turn normal gearbox into reverse mode and drive reverse for few meters. After that short reverse drive - continue to drive into normal 4x2 mode, and noises of blocade and 4x4 mode, will dissapear.......Be sure to do this procedure in case of any noise from diff, because drive over 60 Km/h in 4x4 mode for Panda is not recomended ......

Pandafreaks are everywhere, even on (in) Mars:D
(y)(y)(y) That was great

Aca:I believe to you;).

Yes, that´s what I thought(y).
Do you think that I need to add that steel plate? Or can I do it just by change that absorbers?

When I write about the strange noises I thought that the wheels are rubbing. I am very carefull to switch 4x2 after using 4x4. One time I left 4x4(and my indicator wasn´t lightning because the cables were cuted) and then I heard some noises but luckilly I saw that soon. And I have sometimes small problems with 4x4 when I was turning but like you´ve written I just centered the wheels and drive few meters. But this is not just Pandaproblem:). On my Jeep or ARO it happend to me often:) But thanks(y)

I don't know if I am understanding the doc wrong (probably) but many other 4x4s use what is called a "shackle" lift. See picture for this item(blue piece). It goes between the leaf spring and the body and can offer a 5cm lift or possibly bigger.

Oh great. That what exactly what I thought(y). Do you use some plates between axel and leaf springs? Or you just use these longer "shackles"? And is it cause of some problems or it´s without any problems?

Yes, 4x4 has some "bushes" there in the rear if I think the same rubber pieces like you. Only this can wear out faster? How ist it with shocks?
Has anybody some practise with this mod.?

It's question and suggestion time !!

got your pm cheers trev.i need to know the rear sus set up on the panda am i right in thinking its coil sprung and has a seperate damper or are they coil overs?

can you find out trev.i was going to suggest he fabs up some brackets and welds them lower down the chassis then re bolts the suspension back up to it.that way it will give an instant sus lift,do you catch my drift???

So can you answer the question with regard to the rear suspension please ?

Then if he has a spring and shackle lift, and he doesn't want the extreme uj angles, can he source uj's with longer yokes.... For extreme angles.

there you go the answer is extended spring shackles and fab up some drop brackets for the bottom of the shocks.as for the u/js fab up some 20mm spacers and fit them between the diff pinion and shaft.

Thank you very much. I want to ask what mean "uj" angel? I don´t know some phrases about car parts so I am sorry for my (maybe) stupid question:eek:.
I have to admit that I have some small problems with these phrases:eek:.

Yeah(y) that look very nice. Red will be great:)(y). Suzuki´s will be fit? Really?
It´s better to buy shackles or fabricate them? What do you think?
