[QUOTE = Martin SK; 2281290] Here is my idea .... maybe solution:D (I hope that is posible solution:D) [/ QUOTE]

Yeah, Martin I see your idea, its great, but I think forces will be so enormous for flywheel. Dunno? As I said I am not competetive for engeneering.

Onto following link to Italian topic (11 pages) they transplant some system from Lancia Y10 4x4 to Panda. May be it is interesting for your toughts.

Wish you a good lack (lock) ?!?!?!?!

I´m bit affraid about that forces:(.
Thanks for link(y). As I understand it they transpalnt diff. lock or something like diff. lock from that Lancia. I have to start looking for some informations about this car because if it has that what I need I want to transplant it too and no problem...I hope:)
And thanks Aca I will need bit of luck for good lock:D(y).

I think that this may give you some ideas:
http://www.jimny.se/locker.html

But remember that fiat panda transmission and dif, weren't made for a diff lock, so their durability will be compromised.

A cheap solution, is to use 2 handbrakes, one for each well

Panda4x4net: This looks nice:) but I think it´s original lock and it won´t be cheap. And that duriability is that what I am bit affraid about.

I´ve got new idea about some brake system but I have to think about it deeply and will write my plan (maybe:)). I saw it on my fathers Subaru Leone. It has some system which works: you push clutch pedal and brake (it works when car is standing downhill backwards) and then you realise the brake pedal but car is still standing like when you were standing on brake pedal. But I didn´t think about it and didn´t studiy it very deeply so I can´t say how I will make it:(. But it´s possible to make for all 4 wheels:D

Aca: very nice shackles(y)(y)(y) these looks great(y) Thanks for nice idea

Hello dear Fiat friends,
I got decided!!! Finally!!!:D
I want to make 3(!!!) handbrakes! The first: for both rear wheels and the other 2 for left and right wheel:cool:.

What are you´re thoughts about it? Will it work rightly or will it be stupidity?
(every opinion or advice will be accepted(y))

GO! GO! GO!. Use some handle bars (for acceleration commands) from some agruculture machinery - and mount it somewhere near back seat. Use security blocking-bar to avoid accidental activation - as shown on one of picture I posted here before. One more thing - get gently practise first, because I think if you touch the ground with both rear wheels (with normal traction on both rear wheels-when one is blocked with 2nd or 3rd handbrake) you can damage diff. 2nd and 3rd handbrake is only to veru short use - only during handbraked wheel is fully hanged in air;)
Good luck (lock). Hope we will see pic. (I hope Italian 4x4 forum is useful for you)
Aca

Thanks for advices. I want to make it same as normal handbrake. So I (hopefully) have one classic handbrake and the other will be independent for every wheel. I´ve got small problem with that I´ve got one wheel in the air often:D. I will need small practise with it befoure because I don´t want to "hurt my Bear":D.
I´m going to change my rear brakes for brand new (because these are completely bad) so fine chance to see how it works on new brakes:).
Be sure that I will gove there photos of it because I am more talking than working so it will be small proof:D.

The Italian forum isn´t very good because I don´t speak Italian and that can be small problem. I have to do it my way and learn from my own mistakes.

Wish you succesful works and fast progress on that-Martin!
(I do not know even a word of Italian, but I use google toolbar (free downloadable for instalation -from google) and set ``Always translate Italian`` button, so after that this site become perfectly-reedable on English after few seconds) (even search function works on English)
Aca

Aca thank you for wish and for advice too. But I´ve tried that translator but nothing special:(. It´s not very good. But it can help sometimes. I hope that brakes will be good solution.

I hope that brakes will be good solution.

I am sure they do. Half of Italian 4x4 members use additional DIY handbrakes, and they are satisfied! There is lot of variats of theese additional handbrakes - from small handbrake grips taken from some agricultural machines connected by wire to normal activation point of normal Panda rear drum brakes- to large one hand grips taken - from normal cars. Some of them is mounted onto central floor tunnel between front and back seats, and some of them beside normal handbrake grip. Advanced chaps, convert rear drums brakes- to rear discs brakes (disc is taken from front Panda brakes), and use hidraulic pipes and hoses to activate separate rear disc-brakes simply by turning left or right hidraulic valves ``on`` and ``off`` for each rear converted discs

I am very grateful to you again Aca. That rar. is great and I can take lot of inspiration from there. Replacing the drum-brakes will be bit complicated for me and it´s difficult to find Lancia Y in Slovakia to make it rightly by the instructions. But I saw there nice solutions of that brakes. The bets solved is in the last picture by that metal piece which is conecting all brake cables. I hope I can make it same on my Panda.

Thank you very much Aca(y)(y)(y)

Hello again
After very long time. I´m sorry for that I didn´t wrote some news about that how I solve it. True is that I haven´t done anything new on my Panda. I just lifted front end because I use bigger tyres (maybe it is not news). That´s all. Nothing happened with diff lock or double-brakes. I didn´t have any time to work on it because I am finishing our new house with my father and meanwhile I´ve bought bigger offroad brother to my Panda and leave "her" relaxing after so time with me. But "she" is still alive :) and in wainting for a (hopefully) bright future. If I and my father will finish the house and find (or build) some garage with some equipment for working on cars (the best will be small car-service in the garden:D:D) I want to do some other adjustments on that "small bear" wich is so loyal to me:)

(I´m sorry for my mistakes because it´s posible that I get worse in English:D)
