Picking up my – sorry, I mean my wife’s new TA Lounge this afternoon, trading in her people carrier which has become surplus to requirements since the kids are running their own cars nowadays.
Ours is volare blue with ivory ambience, upgraded alloys, side colour coded rubbing strip with “500” badges, rear sensors and the dash top sat-nav and Fiat mats included in the deal.
We’ve a 150 mile round trip to do – so do hope the rain stops, as I don’t want our new arrival coming home dirty!
I’ve started already!!! I’ve bought a pair of door sill trims (the ones that go on the metal) with the “half” 500 logo in black rubber. I think these are standard on the Sport model and are really good quality and a bargain at just over fifty pounds (I’m used to Audi prices myself). I’ll fit them this evening – just a double sided tape jobbie, after wiping any polish off the door sill with a bit of meths.
This seems like a great forum and I’m really looking forward to having a fun car in the household again.

Great choice of colour ;) My twinair is the same one but manual, I picked her up last Thursday. Which wheels are you getting?

My car is starting to look grubby with all the rain this week - I need it to be nice so I can give her a wash and take some photos :)

The 15" sport alloys (the ones with five double spokes.
I forgot to mention in the original post, it's Dualogic.
How did you know?

Hmm- I wondered how FloJo knew it was a dualogic- I'd be interested to hear how you get on with it in the TA version.

It does sound like a lovely colour/spec combination that you are getting.

Volare blue has really grown on me since I got my BNW TA in March. I wasn't being a cheapskate -I really like the white with ivory ambience. I was thinking that if I was buying now I'd splash out on the blue, but the wife says she doesn't like it, so that's a regret I can forget!

Engineered, I hope you have a great afternoon playing with your new toy, and I hope the sky is as blue where you are as it is here. I bet you'll love it! :D

I would also really know how it works with the combination of TA and Dualogic. I am waiting for one myself...
I have tried the 1,2 with Dualogic, but I think the engine lost too much torque just when the gear shifts. I hope this is better with the TA, because of the stronger engine.

The dualogic is a robotised manual so it doesn't "lose" any power or torque through the box.

Thanks for all the nice comments. We're delighted with our new 500. See my other posting "TA with Dualogic....."
