A busy day sorting tyres.

I now have the new knobblis on the Sparcos, and some nice P700Zs on the standard wheels for this years autotesting season.

The slicks are on the THs, so that should sort out most things.

Now that burple has left my tender care I removed the offside rear arm today.

The many soakings of plus gas meant that the two bolts came out clean.

The benefit of goodridge hoses is that no joints need to be broken to change the arm.

I am taking the oportunity to repaint some of the underside while the arm is off, so the new one will be fitted tomorrow after work.

Thats the stangest handling car I've ever driven.

One new rear arm, one old rear arm, scary.

I am having to borrow workshop time at the weekend and work it in around my working hours, so only enough time to one arm this weekend, second one next weekend.

In Work early this morning, got the car into the workshop, jacked up, on the axle stand.

Removed wheel and hub/caliper before had to open up for the great unwashed.

An hour after I opened I nipped overto the workshop to find it full.

Steven, of this parish, was servicing his Punto, his colleague was changing the pads/discs on his BMW and his fancy Honda motorbike was awaiting a replacement engine.

By 6 tonight, arm off, crossmember wire brushed and painted. Caliper bracket off old arm, cleaned and painted too.

Tomorrow morning, reassembly.

The luck is with me today.

Refitting the rear arm, went to fit the rear hub and the inner bearing collapsed as I was fitting it.

Went and got another one from the spares pile, fitted the studs to it and all good.

Now its gearbox time in a couple of weeks time.

Seems to be something happening next weekend!
