Styling Taking vinyl strip off ....colour change underneath??

Looks like a very nice one. Love the 5o-spoke alloys - it looks very sporty.

Do you like the stripe - can you get around your Mum - she wouldn't see if she's driving :D

Thinking about it - if you took the stripe off and the paint underneath had faded where it was noticeable - you could always re-instate the stripe. Irish prices are €175 for a replacement but you can get them cheaper.

In relation to tackling the restoration of the paint work - I would ensure that it is done by a specialist who knows what they are doing.

She's not totally against it but i think would prefer it without!! I'll see what she says after seeing it. I love the alloys as well, wonder how easy they are to clean compared with the multi spoke ones???

I had the 5o-spokes on the '08 black and they are much easier to clean than the 16inch multispokes. The downside of the 5o-spokes is that they are more expensive to re-furbish - so check them carefully.
Also the 5o-spokes are on the Ferrari courtesy car and are also on the new Twin Air plus sprayed in Black. In the US the 5o-spokes are a little different in they way that they are 'sprayed' - you can check them out on the US 500 web site.
Also on the Pop if you opt for 16inch wheels as an upgrade they are more expensive (€675) than the 16 inch multispokes (€450) in Ireland (don't know about the UK) so they are not as common.
That said my OH prefers the multispokes but IMHO on the Yellow the 5o-spokes look the business.(y)

I dont know if this is easier, but instead of removing the stripes to see if the paint is ok, why not remove one of the side indicators and look at the paint behind that? then just put it back on again.

 Good idea! which leads to my suggestion of removing one (or all) of the little black squares at the rear of the stripe as that would give you a 100% exact idea as to whether any fading had taken place. Should be dead easy to replace these if a light polish didn't get remedy the problem.

Thanks Grimwau!! Will also mention that to her as a compromise!!

Just been onto an insurance site and when I put in the car reg it is coming up saying it is an automatic!! now waiting to ring up the dealer to confirm who is wrong!! It definitely states in their blurb that it is a manual???

Suzi:)

Open fuel flap. Did this recently to show a customer how bad the stuff they were using to wash their car was.

 ...... I could have lied and said that my wife often drives along with the flap open after filling it up but as you will see her on Sunday I think had better concede now, lol. :)

PS. If you're on BBQ duty I want loads of onions on my burger. :p

Funny, but I always try to find something in everybody's posts that could be misconstrued, lol. :life: I don't think I've always been like this, it just seems to have occurred in the last 3½ years or so. :chin:
