General SMOOR Alloys - 7 x 13 - what tyres? (pic) -

Check this pic out. Of a Kraut Cinqy! These Smoors look really tasty and just right. I assume it's wobbly bolts time. What about offset and spacer situation? concentric again I assume?

Anyone in UK running 7 x 13's smoors all round? I intend to run an APEX kit at 30mm. What tyres is this dude running 185/50/13's ? 195/50 or 45s?

I dont want to roll my arches. Just bolt 'em up and go. seems smoors are 150 euros each. not cheap but there you go. if it aint these then it's 14's compo MO's.

Right I've checked Smoor site. Seems its a 175/50/13 so thats ok. I'd go for Yokos. From what I can deduce they have a 21mm offset. So I'll need a 14mm spacer. Have a look at the link please.

The bable translation is this..

Who's Merkur? I assume a German tuners?

you will need studs and wobbly bolts as well and maybe arch work, wait for ghostwkd, he tried smoors

Alex (ghostwkd) IIRC said the smoors were a pain in the ass overall so swapped them back over to his ML'S after they were refurbed, no doubt will confirm a version like that soon

Are you seriously expecting someone to answer that from that pic given? The only way anyone would know that more than likely is if there is a write up on it, from that pic there is no way of knowing

From that pic also they look very wide at the front, i dont know if you would get away with a tyre that wide in the UK

AppleSei, thanks for wading in all heavy. Surely if you read my second thread you'd have noticed I got the tyre data from Smoor's site.

If I recall, Ghostwkd was running mega wide Smoors on rear..

i believe alex was running 8" rears and i think they where giving him the problems - a quick search for one of his threads should reveal an answer

he also had a stupidly low drop so maybe that explains his problems

i think alex's comp ml's where 195 45/13 and they 7" wide from what i remember

it best to wait for alex, mase or aaron to come on, they know there stuff when it comes to wheels, im just a wannabe

the only merker that i know of is the tuning company

They end at 8.30 tonight. Ooh err. They're 7's all round on 175's. As my Cinqy will be on a an Apex 'not' mega low kit they may just clear rear. Hmm do I punt?..

If worst comes to worst you can always sell them on, and with the euro look coming back strongly in the VAG tuning circles you'll have no problems finding buyers if you advertise in the right places.

OK, Bid now worry later. The yellow car in my 1st post is running 7" smoors. His car aint mega low. In fact it sits just right. Arches look unmessed. So they must go. On 175's..

Alex, I assume you did try to run 8's on the back which are sooo wide.

So if I win the Smoors lets see if they go on!!

i got mine for about £300 after postage etc didnt have tyres though

Didnt try them on the sei but i'd assume same issues with 8" on rear but maybe ok with 7"
