Seicento Wiring Guide

Just bought a Seciento with no head unit in it. Does anyone know which wire is which to help me put a new head unit in?

shouldnt need a wiring guide,just buy an 'ISO adapter'(halfords,etc) and then you can plug youre headunit straight in

Unfortunately the person who removed the old sterio cut all the wires so I don't know which one is wich now.

Guys im needing help with this too, I just bought a seicento iso lead but the other end of my alpine stereo lead looks like the picture below, what can i do. Im not sure what i need now.

for both of you, in the cars manual, it gives a colour code guide to what all the wires coming in to the head unit bay go to. hopefully that should help a bit.

Im still trying to buy the seicento handbook. Looks like im gonna have to source one of them before i get my head unit fitted. Although i do still have my cinquecento hyanes manual lying around. Is the wiring the same. I've been the told the Iso connector from the car is different so i dont think the wiring will be the same or will it?

I think i'll give this a crack tomorrow. If you can scan the page in the manual which says whats what then i can join the wires either tonight or tomorrow nite and fit my head unit which is dying to be fitted.

Right i've ordered a Iso replacement lead for my alpine lead that had been hacked. Anyway, I've joined most of the wires except a blue one which says remote turn on for the unit but the on the replacement iso lead it says electric aerial on, now this is also on the alpine lead but i dont need this so can i connect the remote turn on lead to it.

I will be getting an amp to power the rear speakers but nothing else so do i still need to connect the rear speaker leads on the iso connector too or leave them off.

Here ya go! These are the colours of the wires and what they do etc...
front left speaker - white/black and red/black
front right speaker - black/purple and pink/black
aerial - coaxial lead
positive power - red/green
neutral power - light blue
earth - black

You will have to get somebody to confirm which way the neutral and positive are round. the manual isn't clear and I can't be bothered to pull my head unit out because it is an absolutel bitch to get back in due to how I wired it at the back. hehe. If I remember, the Cinquecento colours are the same so you could view your Haynes manual. In your head unit instructions, it will say what is what coming out the back and then if you have a look at the back, you can match the colours of these power supply wires in to the other side of the ISO adaptor.

The Seicento did not come with rear speakers so whatever you have left over should be your rear speakers. It all depends on what cable was used. You will tend to find they are red & red/black or grey & grey/black. The ones with the black on them are the negative.
Also make sure you get the positives and negatives the right way round on your speakers. It will not damage the speakers but phase inversion (e.g. when one speaker cone pushes out, the other pushes in) will happen on the sound which can sometimes sound weird or tinny. As a Music Technology student, I could explain all the theory but i'll spare you. hehe

Cool thanks for that. Im now ready to install everything. Just a quick point on what i said before, if im amping the rear speakers so i be using the RCA cable from the HU to the Amp for that. Do i still connect the rear speaker wires into the ISO lead or forget it.

Yea!!! finally fitted my head unit, not connected my amp up yet. It shouldn't be complicated now all thats left is to hook up the amp. The head unit took ages because I had to figure out what all the wires meant connect up a ISO lead and everything.

Just a quicky im using the cars blue lead which im lead to believe is for either the illumination or electric aerial to be used as my remote turn on for my amp. Will this cause any problems.

yeah the blue is normally remote turn on, so thats perfect to turn the amp on. in response to your previous post, you don't need to connect the rear speaker cables to the ISO lead, as you will have nowhere to connect them to, as you will have RCA cables goin to the amp, and then speaker cables from the amp to the rear speakers.
Just make sure you have you power lead from the battery and the RCA leads on opposite sides of the car. That'll stop all possibilities of interference.

Thats great thanks for your help. The main reason i've connected them now is being i wanted to run my 6x9 while i wait for my Rockford amp to arrive from America.

But another question on this sorry for all these questions, i only hope that this post will help someone in the future. But my question is, if im gonna amp up my rear speakers, and not have them connected on the iso leads, then will my front speakers still work fine from the head unit and the rear ones from my amp or can I only run the amp ones or front ones since one pair are on amps and the other on internal amp.

I hope you understood that..

yeah you can run the fronts off the headunit fine.
www.autoacoustics.com is where i got my stelth shelf from. you can either buy it DIY and cut the holes and carpet it yourself, or they can do it all for you. you can even choose the colour carpet.

OK people im going to work on this tomorrow as my amp has now arrived. I've got all my cables so i should be good to go tomorrow morning. Now i need to clear some things up, my rockford amp came with a inline fuse holder which i need to connect my power cable too, how do i do this? (if im right in my thinking do i just cut up my power cable approx 15" from the end make a loop that connects into the inline fuse holder, tape it up so it doesn't come out then cut the loop and join each end to the power cable again so one end connects to amp, the other the battery.... correct? )

Also now i know i need to keep the power cable on one side and the RCA the other, but what about the remote turn on, can i put this down the power side as well without interfence or do i need to put it down the RCA side...

Finally last question, where the hell do i connect the ground wire too in the seicento boot. My ground cable came with a little loopy thing on the end of each side. Its only around 0.9m long but i dont have a clue where to ground it.

Cheers for the help guys. I think this is it. Unless tomorrow morning i cant find the hole above the accel pedel to put the power cable through. Also is there already a rubber grommet there or can i use tape to protect the cable.

(My first basic install being in 10 hours)... I'll even put up some pics so if a newbie like me is gonna do something similar in the future they know exactly what there doing.

why did mr fiat decide not to put a 12v switched lead into seicento? its 1 wire from the ignition for crying out loud?

I've got to say i found as a complete noobie to car audio that the seicento has to been one of the simplest cars to connect an amp too. The whole setup inside the car, (i.e rubber grommet straight to the battery, easy access and grounding in boot... ) it was soo straight forward.

Also thanks to the guys on here it made the job easy. A good 3 hours max from start to finish for a noobie in putting the wires in.
