Over the last 7 to 10 years I've amassed around 5 or 6 Android head units and about as many wiring harnesses.
I have just bought a 2013 Chrysler (should be Lancia) Delta. It looks like I might have to spend another £60 - £80 on yet another harness. Firstly I can't afford another harness. Secondly I don't think I should have to, given I already have so many.

Anyone else think we are being taken for a ride with every make of car needing a different harness? And sometimes different models.
There should be no reason for different vehicle manufacturers to have different colour wires to what is in the ISO harnesses.

The wiring diagram is usually put on the radio housing. Or in the owners' manual. Docs on how the radio should be installed on a car are also more or less available on the internet.

There are three ways to do it:

You have a certain amount of knowledge, you look at the diagrams, you combine the wires and it works.
You have basic knowledge, you buy the ISO-brand connector, you connect it and it works.
You have no knowledge or time, you pay a bigger amount of money to a specialist and it works :)

That's pretty much it :)
As I'm sure you're aware the ISO connector has black, red, yellow. And an orange parking brake wire. I think the solution is what to connect to CAN high & CAN low. Using my multi-meter I had 12V on pin 6 (red/green wire) and fluctuating voltage on the CAN high & CAN low (around 3-4V). Nothing connected to pins 3,4,5 & 7 as I don't have an amp. I'm assuming the electronics I found above the left rear wheel arch are to do with the rear led's.
With regard to led's I plan on changing to led courtesy lights. The Delta, in addition to the main one above the rear view mirror there is one above both rear doors. Is one resistor sufficient for all led's.
The reason I ask is, in my previous car I found that led's in the courtesy light would glow dim even after all doors were closed. A 100 ohm resistor was sufficient to stop that.
