Technical Sei S 1.1 Turbo Conversion

sorry i should have been more clear but it was late, i had allready read through the FAQ, looked on the novitec website and done quite a bit of googling and cant find a thing, so i must be doing something wrong, could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Officially, no one makes them anymore. Cost effective way (if there is such a thing) is get a T15 turbo off a scrap Astra Van, get someone to cut and shut the stock manifold to suit, make up your own downpipe, plumb in the oil feed to turbo, turbo piping from ally tube and silicon, best fit an oil cooler, management by Megasquirt, keep the boost to around 6 or 7 psi.

That'll give you 90 odd bhp, but it's cheaper -- and maybe faster -- to fit a 1.2 or 1.4 16v engine.

Budget in for decent tyres, Punto GT front brakes, 14" front wheels.

Most of the kits were made by VAD in the UK. But they're out of the game now.

What the hell is up with this forum? I get double posts all over the shop, when I try to delete I either get invalid link or both get deleted.

WTH

Anyhow,

1. An S is really the wrong place to start.

2. Most cost effective way is to buy a finished car.

3. Cost effective will be a euphamism for "I ended up skint".

4. Put your own kit together -- hint -- most of the UK kits were made by VAD -- the specs are known, no magic -- and you'd need to do the management by an aftermarket ECU.

you double posted
i deleted one
you must have tried to delete that one after me
then you deleted the other
ive restored that one

The problem with buying a finish car is it skips the fun (and love) of doing it yourself, cheers for the info though, still just researching bits and bobs before i even think about starting.

I think the problem is the $$$ :D ... joke :D

I can understand how confusing it is using the search function with this kind of questions/words.. it's a LOT of information to filter.

Best way to go is the FAQs... and search for the stuff that you have doubts or look for different solutions.
