I'm gonna get mine dyno'd soon. Costs a pretty penny though. :\

Killahboo, those graphs state that it's 170bhp at the flywheel not the bhp it's putting out "at the wheels"

Shouldn't cost too much. Between £40 - £70. Full read out of BHP & Torque at the Flywheel, wheels, and a Boost reading

I thought in the tuning industry they would always refer to what power your car can actually put down on the road though

I doubt those figures are really flywheel. the dyno's testing the power at the wheel, if you want flywheel figures you need to take the engine out and plug it in one of those factory engine testers.

unless the dyno computer is inputing a % of loss automatically which would then make the results wrong.

When you go for a run on an RR, they give you Bhp and Torque at the wheels and estimated values at the flywheel

They would (and do) but 99% of people want the estimated flywheel figures for bragging down the pub, plus car manufacturers don't quote "at the wheels" figures, so people have nothing to compare their new gains with.

yea they must be estimating somehow. I have seen other red dot remap dyno graphs and they have figures for bhp at the wheels as well so not sure why this one doesn't have it :(

i want to ask some questions on remap ??!!

my car is 120 T-JET >> 2011 >> 10000 KM

1- Does it effect on the TURBO or the ENGINE badlyyy ??!!
2- Does it get me off the warranty or NOT ??
3- Does it fix the LAGGING in the AUTO-GEAR ??!!
4- How much HP & Torque GAIN ?

Too many questions :D but i always LIKE to be in SAFE SIDE
Thanks in ADVANCE

1- Not really if you always wait the turbo to warm-up before playing with it :) And then waiting for it to cool down after playing with it. Remap may shorten the life of the turbo a bit, but then again - you'll probably not planning to keep the same car for 15 years :)
2- if remap probably yes, so better check for TMC tuning box in the search...It can be easily removed before going to the dealer's
3- not sure what's auto gear, maybe you have the dual logic gearbox? but yes, a bit less lag in all cases
4- depends but usually you'll get about 25-30 bhp increase...and about the same amount of torque

I would wait for another 5000 km if I were you to make sure the engine is not going to show any defects...My car just run out of warranty and made 20,000 km, so that's the moment for me for a remap - going to do it next month or so...

TMC Tuning Box can put the car into limp mode, and if it does so, consider your warranty void. Like mine.

Just plugged it all in, ran fine for ages and then one day, about half an hour into driving the turbo stopped working. The car does this to protect itself from damage I guess. FIAT can detect if this has happened and can diagnose exactly why it happened, and there is history of there being too much boost pressure.
It's gone into limp mode about 5 times since I put it on, and is quite annoying to get "un-limped" :p need to reset the ecu a few times.

Indeed. Works for a while longer on lower settings and then happens again though, so I just keep mine on 6. Can go for weeks without any problems so it's not too much of a hassle. Maybe it's just my car though, who knows.

I had that on my stilo jtd 115, it was a remap though, I went as far as putting the standard map on and it still doing it, so I don't think the remap was the cause. in your case, the box might not be the problem after all, I will take the box out and see it still does it.

Yeah i'm a bit concerned that the turbo is leaking a bit. 0 - 60 time is around 7 seconds but there's definetely something not entirely right with it though. Runs like a dream otherwise.

@ lyubohar >> thanks very much for this information and i will wait for 20,000 KM to replace the AIR filter with K&N , Exhaust to HKS turbo/Hi-power , Laser iridium sparks , UltraRacing rollbars and re-mapping ,,,,,,,, why all of that ??? coz am entring AUTOCROSS next year :D wish me LUKE :)

Turbo itself won't be leaking, but the hoses/clips might be... If they are it will take longer to build boost.

Worth replacing anyway, forge may already have the right sizes made up

If you have a boost leak and yet still hitting the overboost limit, then it means your turbo is producing even more than what the sensor is seeing, so it's being run far too hard.

Get someone to do a proper leak pressure test before it goes pop.
