shells don't weigh a lot, it weighed in at 80 quid 40 for me 40 for the guy who took it to the scrappy

iirc scrap was hight at the time about 140 a ton its more like 100 -110 atm

shows 0.07 squid/ kg

that means your car weighted at 1142 kilos which for a shell is impossible

i filled it with all the other steel i had laying about inc and old central heating boiler heat exchanger

today's price is also a lot lower, brass has gone down too was £2.50 a kilo last time i weighed in a bucket of old taps

thats also a crap price for steel its 12.5 p a kilo here last week

The prices that companies will pay for steel can vary wildly 7pence per Kg is low some others are quoting 5pence per kg

Better off going to your local merchant for the best price rather than just going for the first listing off google then trolling the forums
