General Panda Road Trip Italia

So is the plan to be mostly camping overnight out of interest?

I will need to keep an eye on this thread... sounds like fun!

Some of participants are keen on hotels/motels, but most of italian hotels (if located not in city centre) does offer camping side at the back.

Camping will.keep the cost down, maybe camping there and back and hotels once at destination. Should.be good fun camping around the alps.

Sorry guys I haven't been on for a bit - the plan in general at the moment is to camp with rest of the Italian Panda group when we get to Bologne but I am told that there are several good hotels very close by. The central meeting/camping point is on a private estate so I am lead to believe the will be no cost for camping, I have not yet looked into hotel costs. There will no doubt also be a couple or more over night stops in travelodge type dwellings on our journey over. I have been very slack with my research of recent as I done went and proposed to my better half on new years eve so all the planning I've been doing upto now is for the wedding! I must therefore get my priorities straight and concentrate moreso on Pandas again!!!

Congratulations. If you need any help with the planning just ask. I do a lot of long journeys in clasic vehicles so this isnt New to me.

Thanks all - The Italy trip WILL more than likely be the honeymoon as we'll be getting wed on the 30th of May anyway, but as far as the wedding car goes the church is about 20 paces from where we are having the do after! I would love to have a Panda entourage parked outside though that would be fantastic

Happy to trundle the Snatch up on the big day to wish the pair of you all the best and maybe do some offroading afterwards.

Vernon and I are still interested in the Italian trip and rather like the idea of camping whenever possible !

Thanks guys, I would love to have all the Pandas up for the day but we will discuss it nearer the time. We are wedding in May 2015 all being well and the Italy ride out will be mid June that year. I am going to organise another off-roading Panday for March or April so details on that will be up soon

Excellent news, on all fronts. Will be up for the 4x4 day, Panda flotilla, Italy trip - all of the above.

I'm currently doing more research on the road trip, the dates and place have now shifted for the Panda 4x4 club Italia's national gathering.

Our trip will now take place in mid to late June 2015. The gathering will be held here...
