Hello fellow Fiat lovers,
i have a Panda mk3(2014) with the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo engine (manual gearbox) and i really love it.
However i can't shift gears anymore when the engine is turned on. It is possible but very hard, the 1st gear goes in the hardest and when i put it into reverse it rumbles.
But with the engine turned off the gears can be shifted normally.
After research i found out that the clutch has to be replaced and since it's expensive, i want to do it myself.
However i can't find any diy tutorials for this for this car.
And i also don't know the necessary torques for the clutch screws.
I'd be very thankful for your help and advice.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Put the production year in the description, same model can vary depending on the year.

I assume it is a standard manual gearbox with the clutch pedal, and not the Dualogic?

Are you sure the clutch needs to be replaced? Perhaps something has to be checked or adjusted beforehand?

Have you checked the download section of the forum?

Thanks for the reply. i put the production year in the description.
yes, it is a standard manual gearbox with a clutch pedal.
I'm not 100% sure but according to my research everything points to the clutch.
What do you think it could be?

I have no idea, but it will be easier for others to help.

The system might simply need some maintenance or adjustment.

This thread it seems covers similar symptoms and model:

Have a look at it ;)

Car a 2014, your in the wrong section, should be in the post 2012 mark 4

Works fine engine off, yes you have clutch drag

Carpet trapped under the pedal is fairly common

Any loss of hydraulic fluid

Bleed the hydraulics is a good first step

Measure the amount of movement of the release arm, assuming this is correct

Then

Yes the gearbox has to come off and a new 3 piece clutch kit fitted

Does anyone know the necessary torque Nm for the clutch kit screws/bolts ?
and do i have to drain the transmission fluid before removing the transmission?

People in the correct section would know better

For the 1.1 and 1.2 pre 2012 the torque for the pressure plate is 10 Nm

If it's a euro 6 engine it probably got a dual mass flywheel

If you split the driveshafts at the inner joints you don't need to drain the gearbox

If you remove the drive shafts from the differential yes you have to drain the gearbox oil

Done it both way, there's pluses and minuses to each

As per @A3jeroen if it's cable you need to check the adjustment, no idea what it should be for you car

If the clutch bit point is low it could just need adjusting
