This is on the last MOT. Is it usual or should I run away?

  • Front Exhaust mounting defective (6.1.2 (a))
  • Nearside Rear Coil spring mounting corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.1 (b) (i))
  • Offside Rear Coil spring mounting corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.1 (b) (i))
  • Coil spring corroded All 4 Springs (5.3.1 (b) (i))
  • Oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (i))
  • Fluid leak, but not excessive coolant (8.4.1 (a) (i))

Sounds like quite old?
Reading through the lines new rear axle
Missing front bracket simple fix
Often list rusty springs but not an issue
Oil leak, new sump?
Coolant leak new rad, doesn't say where, cheap fix if rad.
I'd keep looking
It is a 2010 but ticks all the other boxes for me.

Depends on the price, cost to fix and then run and what's your budget.
How long ago was the MOT, car service history and lots more questions, and you'll still miss something.
Could go on forever, but suffice to say buying a car nudging 15 years old means more of the Fiat "fix it again tomorrow" and loads of fun.
Pays yer money, take yer chance 🫣.

Providing it's caught in time; otherwise it could lead to a cracked manifold which is both not cheap and likely to be a nightmare job on a 15 yr old car.

Absolutely a walk away unless you can repair the car yourself, up to and including replacing the rear axle.

Even then, I'd not want to be paying into four figures for it.

If you can get it for under £1000, are handy with spanners, and have some free time, it might just be worth considering, but realistically this just sounds like a worn out car that's going to cost more to fix properly than it's ever going to be worth.

If it's closer to the sort of screen price of some of the ones on forecourts, don't walk away; just run!

Hi. I was just wondering how this turned out? Did you buy it?
