For bending plastic rods set the oven at about 120 degs C and leave the plastic to soften for 15mins. If its not soft enough go up to 150C. To get a good heat conduction you can use a tray with cooking oil to cover the plastic. When done put the oil into your dad's diesel tank.
Buy 4 lengths of venetion blind control rods so you can goof it a few times.

thanks mate i cant seem to find any clear blind rods lol, i found some white ones there 6mm diametre will that be enuf to fit 501 led bulbs into each end.

If i use a baking tray and put the rod on it warm it up in the oven wont the edge touching the bakin tray go flat and melt onto tray lol

will the cooking oil stop it from doin this, would using tin foil be a good idea, wraping the rod in foil??

Oil helps to make sure the heat is evenly fed into the plastic, but 120 degrees or a bit more should be enough to soften the plastic. If it melts onto the tray its too hot. Get a few lengths so you can experiment.

A model shop is another sources of plastic sections. If you use white, test it works OK with the LEDs before doing all the bending.

ok i just ordered my set not a very cheap option but u get the acomplished feeling of doing something yourself cos me 57.50 euro so about £51 at the exchange rate paypal has today....rember the price will differ with the exchange rates

nah too expensive for me mate lol iv stripped all my headlight completly apart into tiny bit lol every part is seperate now, only thing left is the plastic base lol

BTW i found some blind rods thanks to another member on this forum
