as title really and if it is possible is it actually safe?
It's impossible, the holes would never align, if it were possible they wouldn't bother making 4 stud alloys.
In theory it could be done but it would involve redesigning and manufacturing the 2 front hubs, the 2 rear hubs and the 2 rear brake drums to incorporate 5 fixings instead of the four and then fitting them to the car......... It wouldnt be cheap and the insurance company wouldnt be happy.
thats explained it rather well thanks
.
What do you mean that explains it. They sell them.
Will act a 20mm spacers aswell
If its done properly there is no reason why it shouldnt be as safe as the original design but I would imagine because of the safety implications any insurance company would want proof and would ask for an independent Engineers report confirming the work has been done to an acceptable standard.
awh, that company only coverts 5 stud to wider 5 stud, not 4 to 5![]()
It gives a choice of cars to fit them to at the base, all of which use 5 stud wheels, and the reason for those particular spacers is to fit larger 5 stud wheels (such a Porsche) to smaller PCD 5 Studs.

The above company, and those particular adapters may work for us though![]()
I wasnt talking about fitting adapters etc, I was talking about modified hubs manufactured to the same size as the originals.
no they do 5 to 4 if you read it they are custom made.
oh and sledge and venom co if you want take a look here:which wheels
your opinions are much appreciated.![]()
