Hello,

I have a turbo boost sensor failure; error P0235. I believe I have managed to locate the IAT Boost sensor behind the charge pipe on the inlet manifold at the front of the engine and below the large black plastic injector cabling shroud. I have managed to remove the connector and single securing screw for the IAT, but cannot lift the sensor out due to another single red cable connector placed slightly above and at an angle of approx 45'.

I don't want to force the IAT out incase I snap the sensor part off in the manifold, but I am not sure how the single connector at 45' is removed, OR indeed what that single cable is for.

I attach a couple of pics. The blue label is on the IAT and is partially hidden by the single connector.
Does the single connect just pull up and off or is there a non release clip?

Any assistance will be gratefully received.

Eddie.

on the last page is a photo of the MAP sensor (with IAT), the release clip is visible on one of the photos. A later model but hope it helps

Hi

My van is inaccessible at the moment, so I can't check what the obstructing cable is, but clearly it needs to be detached/moved to allow the MAP sensor to be pulled out of the manifold. It should then be a straight pull, there is an O-ring seal on the plastic body.

Be aware that the P0235 error means that the reported manifold pressure is not what the ECU expects it to be. This could mean the pressure is OK but there is a faulty MAP sensor or wiring. Alternatively, the MAP sensor could be fine but the pressure is not OK, e.g. due to a fault in some part of the EGR system
