Can anyone tell me if I should have a temperature sensor on my wing mirror that is associated with the DPF?

There is not one on either side.

My van is currently off the road, poorly and am wondering if this could be causing one of its issues.

Its a 2105 Fiat Ducato 2.3td Multijet 130

Thank you,

Clare

It's a motorhome.
Often on the front crossmember right hand side as you sit in the driver seat stuck on with some sealant. Is the temp sensor working or has it ever worked?

You might see it if you stick your head under and look up by the radiator.

As others have said though, some cheap second hand mirrors don’t have the sensor.

Hope this is a daft question you have got a Ducato not a Boxer or relay? From about 2015 P&C used the Mirror sensor read by BCM (lo speed can bus) in calculations for regens with the Adblu versuions. Not all Fiats to 2017 have this sensor only vans with Air Con, Air temperature is measured in 3 places by the hi speed can bus. Post 2019 Adblu Ducatos have the ambient temp measured by another sensor and adblu ECU. The lack of mirror sensor is not your problem.

It's a Fiat Ducato Escape 644.

It does have Aircon, it doesn't have adblu.

That's great thank you so much.
