How is that real world? You would be insane to drive through that with a stock filter on.

How is it not the real world? This type of event happens every more often in the UK. Its not unreasonable to be confronted with a Ford (I dont mean car) on country roads.

All it takes is a constant rain downfall over a number of hours and flood risks are out in the UK which driving agencies and BBC warning to be careful.

If you notice a mazda mx5 got past the water with no problems, but that maybe as the air induction is taken from ..............

We also noticed the last car in the clip did not go through the water without problems. Further I noticed that quite a few drivers and passengers died in their cars because they underestimated such situations and this no matter what induction they had on their cars.

If the relevant agency would have been there in time the road would be closed till the water had receeded to prevent human casualties not preserve engines.

I have been through well over a foot deep water in my Stilo without a drip tray with a GSR sitting low as it does without any problems. Whilst this isnt advised by anybody I have had the Kit for 1.5 years and its fine.
Also my BHP went up with the Kit on but it didnt do anything for the torque really until i got a remap and now i have added close to 20 Ft/lb on a 1.6.

I'm sorry but short of a 4x4 with a snorkel it doesn't really matter what you're driving, you stand a good chance of hoovering up the puddle if you're daft enough to drive that quick through a puddle that deep.

If that's real world, it's a sad reflection of the general public.

:yeahthat:

We do not agree too often, but I give 101 out of 100 for this. You couldn't be more right than this.

maybe the kits should come with a lable then saying only to be used by people with at least half a brain

ive seen blocks and exhaust/manifolds that have cracked going through cold water, on peoples cars that do 4x4ing where going through water is part of the course
