wouldn't be anything along the lines of "cut 2" of pipe off at the Tb end" would it :p

Indeed! but i had a pipe to go into that hole in the side of the kit. I'll post a pic tommorow.

p.s. i didnt use any of those collars!

well folks, after a bit of fiddling - it's actually almost on.... not quite as simple as i would have liked, but its on all the same, and sounds feckin awesome!!!!

will post more info once ive got the breather pipe on, ciao for now!!! :slayer:

AWESOME :slayer:

Sorry - just got back from a quick drive, and she is purring like a pissed off kitten!
revs higher, pulls better, sounds amazing, and all in all I am well chuffing happy!

the fitting problem was that the air filter wasn't fitting in right, due to metal pipe being a wee bit too long - however this is all rectified now, and all that is left to do is sort out a decent source of cold air (y) (got a temperary feed on, but will relocate / smarten up on Friday).

And now I'm off for a drive, probably until dawn.... It's official - I've fallen in love with my car again :D

WOoooooOOOooOOOoooOOOoooooOOOOT!
:slayer:

(P.S. Thanks to everyone who put their two-penneth in on this thread!).

Time to update your website then ;)

That is now a very good price now, especially with the discount, thought it was a bit rich before, but if i had an mpi, i'd be after one.

Kristian

A lot of people think it was a bit rich. But they do not know that it takes over 2 hours to make and take the hose of the tooling, apart from curing it in the oven for at least 90 minutes.

When you take the VAT, delivery, raw silcone, filter and other bits of and have to pay someone to do the work, what is left?

Edit: Found a better pic in another post :)

Not exactly the same kit, but gives me a better idea of what its gonna be like to fit.
Just need to figure out what to do with the little metal strip things now :p

Hey hey, thats mine, I was first to try the kit on the mpi sei after running it on my punto mk2 - sorry Oldschool.

It is the same kit I just cut the metal pipe down a bit to fit. I didnt use the reducer and the smaller blue hose you get melts pretty quick. Upgrade it to a coolent pipe (around £4). To strap the end down I just tie rapped it to the coil pack area (spark plug lead ends give it a nice cusion).

Hope this helps.

Just for the record I run a GSR F9i on my punto now and it is better than the Focus was. But for a kit on a tight budget the Focus kit is a good choice.

Actually in that picture you can still see my 11mm deep socket I used to join the breather up lol:eek:. I now use a short piece of 15mm copper water pipe instead.

And the hole on the elbow is filled up with silicone rather than a bolt and a few washers

I've played around with mine a little... think it looks neat this way, plus I'm using the hole.

Had to modify an ally flanged tube i had in the garage to utilise the hole mind. Hope this pic helps.
