Technical Induction kit help!!!

most would be more than half, its a big claim to make on guess work

I think that's probably about right -- after all, the first half is always the easy half, as any tuner will tell you.

Once upon a time all tuning was done by seat of pants. Until someone wants to allocate some dyno time to squabbling about 5bhp or so, that's the way it will remain.

General feeling, there is a bigger difference between the focus kit and the stock air filter than the focus kit to the GSR. The focus system loses out at lower rpm compared to the GSR but is almost as fast as the taco disappears into the red.

Edit: Found a better pic in another post :)

Not exactly the same kit, but gives me a better idea of what its gonna be like to fit.
Just need to figure out what to do with the little metal strip things now :p

You won't even need to bolt it down for a test...don't think arc gsr is fixed either?

See if you like it first, and if not sell it on :D

For a test, that's OK. But the filters on these sit very close to cables, wiring and such and will eat them (and be eaten) if allowed to wobble about.

The GSR isn't fixed -- eventually they wear holes in themselves (the silicon, that is). The one on Blue2 is close to wearing through.

well after an hour of getting oily, and swearing alot in the rain, I have come to the migraine fuelled conclusion that this thing just does not fit.

Have tried fitting the filter to either end, and positioning the damn thing at every angle possible - but this is far from the advertised "one piece simple set up, designed for mpi seicento..."

Gonna email the seller and inform him of how much of a tool he is, and that I want my money back.

See if he'll swap it for one of the original Focus ones (like in the photo). Me and a 13 year old girl managed to fit it in 20 minutes.

Thing is mine does look like the one in the photo - it just doesn't fit - the filter ends up where my headlight is!!!
The tubing is just too long!

I remember Il Presidente on CC having to take a hacksaw to his to reduce the lenth a little and, in retrospect, mine would have benifited by an inch or so coming off.
