Well, thanks to all the good advice from members on her, I finally changed the headlamp bulb this afternoon. I did remove a clamp holding part of the wiring harness enabling me to move it out of the way. I found pushing the top of the retaining clip forward and to the left at the same time, impossible so I cut a small notch in the end of a length of 10mm dowel and used this to unclip the spring clip. The bulb change was easy and the clip easy to replace. I did have problems with the plastic cover though. I dropped it and it fell down into the inner wing...I could see it but couldnt get may hand in far in to retrieve it. My wife rescued it but then I dropped it again. This time it disappeared and, at first I thought it may have gone actually into the bumper itself. However, I found it under the car and it was eventually refitted. Job done... many thanks again for the help. Just been out for a drive looking for a location to shoot some pics but unfortunately we've had torrential rain here. Next job is to find out why the fog lamps aren't working. Bumble

Nicely done. I was going to put uprated bulbs in mine but it's a job I've been putting off!

I saw them in Halfords and thought about it but then, I would have had to chage two..haha. Mind, the drivers side is easier to access. Indidentally, the book in Halfords shows the dipped, main and fog lamps bulbs are all the same?

Correct all H1. Recommend to buy upgrades as the B lights are not good.

501 Are the small side light.

Another option is a HID kit, 6000k Well worth the investment.
