Thanks, I would wait a week to see how my rim gets on. I am hoping like Demi says that it gets a bit harder

Yeah looks really nice though mate but yeah let me know if your happy with them :) can't wait to spend some ££ on my panda :)

Nice job Harey!

I see u got few fans on here interested in dipping their wheels. (y)

So I'll talk u thought repairing dip on here so others can refer to it too.

First you have to buy thinner - http://www.plastidip.co.uk/eStore/index.cfm?type=Home_Solutions/Thinners&stage=1

It liquidizes dry plasti dip again, so any roll or peel or chip u just rub thinner on that area to smooth the damage/tear. When the area is smooth and u happy with it, wait for thinner to dry. (Make sure u apply thinner little bit at a time and dont drip on any other dipped areas)

Now take plasti dip and spray lightly over thinned area to get 1st coat on like a primer. When it dries apply 2nd coat more heavy on the non dipped area but make sure it wont run. Then 3rd coat spray lightly and cover large area around the area u were repairing to blend dip with the rest.

If all this sounds a bit complicated here is the visual aid u can follow. :D (y)

I hope I didnt scare ppl of dipping

Little update,

I have done 2 wheels now in Plastidip. 1 1/2 cans to do 2 wheels. IMO it looks superb and I'll be doing the other two next week.

Will do. I've got 200 miles to put on them this weekend. I'm hoping they hold out for Auto Italia.

I have found my old BMC CDA from my VTS that I hope I can retro fit. I just need to know the inlet manifold size

They look really good!
Been thinking of doing plastidip on a couple of cars and now having seen yours has lasted I think I will go ahead.
Like the playing cards trick as well! :)

A little update,

I have ordered a red silicon elbow so I can retro fit my old CDA air filter.

I took the filter to bits, gave it a good clean and re-oiled it with K&N oil.

Last night I removed the standard airbox and fited the kit.

I took it for a little blast afterwards and 1st impressions are good. The throttle feels more responsive, it picks up a little quicker and sounds awesome.

I think the biggest thing to get these working is your cold air pipe (luckily I work somewhere where there is loads about). I have it located just inside the wheel arch at the moment but will be removing the fog lights and using the apeture to take cold air direct. (y)

Looks rocking dude!!! (y)
I've thought in the past of removing the front fogs and make intakes out of the holes will be good to see what you come up with! :D

Not trying to put you off doing it but might want to watch this interesting video, (albeit a bit annoying presenters)
Cold Air Intakes

Interesting video! I didn't know Nissan done a 'Mario Kart' special edition of the Skyline WTF!
I went and had a watch of the video before this one in the series where the standard air box makes more power then a bolt on 'Pod' filter, when I was looking into upgrading my airbox system I read a lot of the conversions on this forum regarding which air intake system people had fitted and rated/hated.
Its always a hard one but at the end of the day its what people want to do with there own cars and dosh that matters and makes things fun.
What was interesting people were saying (I wanted to put agree but that never happens on forums) a bolt on air filter seems to improves low down pick up which wont show up as top end power but if you feel the difference (or think you feel the difference) do it.
Only thing I would say is the low position of a air intake would raise your chances of sucking in water which would be my only watch out! :slayer:

Totally agree with you mate!
Before I went supercharged, I fitted a K&N typhoon to my MX5.
Before and after dyno's, albeit on different days but at the same rolling road, showed I actually lost BHP, but the induction noise had the placebo effect and car felt quicker low down.

I also did CAI pipes down low and found a small pool of water gathering in the pipe, so I put a very slight downward bend, (1 or 2 degrees) and drilled a tiny hole for the water to drain.
Still found loads of dust and crap where the pipe fed into the engine bay :(

Post supercharger I didnt need the potentially extra few BHP, having added almost 100! ;)

I've seen this video long time ago, (subscribed to MCM channel) But I still bought BMC CDA, looks great and sounds awesome!

This. I think if your going to have one it's the best on the market. The sound alone is worth it

Standard Airbox is now back on as I didn't feel any real gain with the BMC filter.

I have also de-wipered the rear
