To look at a 100HP??

Maybe. :p

Nah. He's being interviewed for Mr Moyes' job.... ;)

I know nothing about football, so I think i'd do a good job.

.......

Ok, yes I am going to look at a 100HP. The finance was very low. IF I say yes, I can have the car Wednesday, but due to work it'd be Friday.

Heres where the fun begins. Diesel there and back is about £30, then IF I get it, the train is £20 there and about £20 petrol back. (I know this is unavoidable, just slightly irritating.) The 12 months warranty is useless, as it's a 200 mile journey round trip.

Every insurance company ever created has the 100HP at the same rate as my Parade. Except the company i'm with now which has added £200+ to the cost. I'm only 2 months into my term, so I know they will change the car. But any chance they'll price match?

IF it goes ahead, I have 4 days to do something with the Parade, in theory the bill should be cheap as not alot has been done.

Is there tax and mot still on herbie?

If so I could take it to a reputable panda specialist for fettling in a couple of months time?

In the meantime he can rest easy with two companionable pandas and cinqy on my drive?

Sound like a plan?

too many question marks???? :p

He's taxed till next month. But the insurance transfer would mean only a few days of driving.

Thinking about it what will I even do with the Parade anyway? Unless someone has barn space for about 20 years.

I would give £300 for the pair if they're immaculate - no dings etc paint condition is irrelevant as they will have to be resprayed due to fading in the Italian sun ;)

You could Ebay them I suppose - aquamarine will be the man to ask about prices and postage logistics!

Aaand as if by magic the Panda killer lists a pair of doors for £300 do we think?

So a kind benefactor has said "I can lend you most of the money, pay back whenever."
Sat in a 100 today, didn't drive it. But I loved the interior and the way it looks.... And the fact it's still a Panda.

Even though everything's coming up Milhouse, the Parade (slight electrical issue aside) works. And he's a convertible.

Fit 100HP engine to the Parade.... It'll be much cheaper and you'll still have a cool Panda

Plus it'll be faster the Gavin's recent Panto, so gloating rights are there (y)

If I were you I would really sleep on this, its a lot of money to spend on something you haven't driven yet. The second thing I would do (after sleeping on it) would be drive it, and make sure its not just novelty and excitement if you like it. And remember that although 100hps perhaps aren't the most common vehicles, wait for the right one to come up. If you aren't 100 percent sure then walk away.

I don't mean any of that offensively or harshly mate, it all comes from a kind place, especially to a fellow parade owner :) just be absolutely sure, its a lot of money!

MK3 Pandas have a great interior and seating position - that double din stereo really needs a built in sat nav though - everything is at hand and the gear lever is the best positioned one in any car I've driven.

There are always about 50 100hp's up for sale just need to check everywhere.

I think if you are to replace herbie you just have to get the skydomed panda (plenty of eleganza's with them about if you want to be abit more frugal) and get the lowest mileage cleanest car you can afford.

I'm umming and ahhing myself, I miss the rock solid reliability and safety off the mk3 and if I am going to get a bit "enthusiastic" on the b roads I'd appreciate some crumple zones and airbags should the worst happen.

I'm going to hold off until I have the Y10 on the drive, that should be a bit quicker and certainly has a bit more room and comfort inside for the everyday grind.

Whatever you decide I would hold onto herbie for at least 6 months, better to be indecisive than have regrets I say!

I agree pretty much with all of this. If the Punto was to be replaced, it would be with another Mk3 Panda Dualogic. One of the best cars, in my humble opinion, that FIAT have produced for the disabled small car-lover...! :D

PS: I just wish the suspension was a bit less jiggly, though -- so may be a Mk4, instead...?

I've thought about that, but because i'm stupid. It HAS to be in Mambo yellow and with a yellow interior. Some have blue and it looks stupid.
(Skydome and fogs would be a bonus.)

I found this

for £3k for a 2004. Thats alot older than the 100's and not much price difference. Obviously the HP would cost more to run.

I check AutoTrader and ebay alot.

Yeah, still undecided. Thanks. (y)

But I thought you wanted a Panda?
