I want to check the gearbox oil level on my 2009 1.1 Panda as it’s a bit noisy, I bought the car from a scam artist that I can’t get a straight answer from. He said the clutch was replaced and if that’s true I’m concerned the oil gearbox oil loss involved wasn’t topped up.
I know where the filler level is located, has anyone checked it with just a jack or ramps? The noise is a noticeable rasping noise mainly in first or second, just want to get to the gearbox level plug with my limited equipment.

Thanks

I’ll have another look, be great if it is, at the moment everything is wet and dark (daytime!). All the videos have the car on on vehicle lifts.
Found it, think it’s the only one that the 12mm hex goes, had to do it by feel
Thanks again

Car needs to be level to fill to the correct level, not jacked up

The plug is on the front very easy access from the top

You only need to jack the car if you are draining the oil

Did it from the top by removing the air filter and
hose,it took 250 ml approximately,so glad I didn’t go mad on the oil,
Apparently a clutch kit was fitted by a ………..!
Won’t have effect on the noise, but peace of mind for a while!

Check inside the inspection hole for oil, put your finger in and feel the inside, engine off

If it's leaking at the input shaft the inside of the bell housing will be coved in oil

If it is it's a fairly easy repair, but does require the gearbox to come down
