Hi, is it possible to find out my gearbox code from the chassis number?

What do you need to know

Are you replacing a gearbox

What engine
What year

Yes you can get the part number from chassis number on eper

Or is it the secret code inside the bell housing your after,, it's only for internal tracking so useless to know

Yes, I need a new revised gearbox. It's a 1.2 69 bhp from 2011.
I need to be sure i get the right one, because i already received a wrong gearbox with wrong ratios.
The original gearbox went missing ( sad but true). I have a photo of what i thought was the gearboxcode. But apparantly i was wrong

Any gearbox from 1.2 panda or 500 will fit

500 fitted to mine 69hp, worked fine

If you want the Eco pack version with slightly different ratios on 3rd 4th and 5th the you need a panda 2009 or later, which limits the availability considerably

Are you sure it's from a panda or 500 1.2

The difference in ratios between the original and eco in 5th are negligible

0.897 vs 0.829

Other fiat models and engines use the same gearbox but the ratios will be vastly different

We think it's a gearbox for a Grande Punto, but we are not shure. Code is C514.513.44.
If i seek on eper, it says 157 gearbox with specific ratios

Yep Punto are widely different due to larger rolling radius of the tyres

735027911 is just the casting part number for that part of the casing
