Hi all I have an 04 1.9 jtd van And am confused as to what type of bearings are used in the front wheel ,is it a single cartridge type bearing? Or is it an inner And outer with a spacer between them? I'm not going to attempt to press them out but buy a New hub And bearings And get them pressed in .. just unsure of what bearings to get.. cheers

At that age I am guessing it is a one piece bearing (two sets of balls with a single outer) which would need pressing in.
What was the reason for a new hub?
Unusual for hub to be worn where bearing is pressed in, I have fitted a few wheel flanges where the centre goes through the bearing and has been loose causing wear.
If you are getting a garage to press in the bearing they may want to supply the bearing assembly as most garages rightly get "arsey" about people bringing there own parts. You don't go to a restaurant with your own food! ;)

The hub assembly is reasonably cheap so I figured it's easier for me to press the bearings in to the New one rather than trying to remove the old bearings from the hub etc.. I can do the job myself I'm just unsure as to what bearings I need 👍

If it is the single bearing type then usually it is a case of cleaning and oiliing the circlip and groove to free it off, then with a good pair of the correct circlip pliers get the old clip out , press out the bearing and refit the new bearing and circlip.
I have done many in the past and still have my hydraulic press.:)
