Technical Fitting HID's

Technical Fitting HID's

Well that was a peace of p1ss :D

1/2 an hour and both were fitted.

The photo maybe doesn't show how good a difference they are but it's probably the best modification I have done to a car (y)

Sorry I forgot to take a before and after photo plus it isn't dark yet so I haven't seen them in all their glory.

I'll do a 'How too' soon for others who may be thinking of doing the same.

Looks good mate!! You'll really notice it at night!

Are they 8K? Where did you mount your ballasts?, I put mine on the suspension turrets in the end.

Alan

can you try something for me?

When it's dark, turn both the front fog lights and the low beam on then switch to high beam.

when I do that in my car with the standard Xenon, the low beam turns off, but it stays on when the fog lights are not active.

I can never have all three lights on at the same time.

Yeah they're 8k. Yeah from what I have seen so far in dull conditions (when is it ever sunny :() the difference between the old standards and the HID's is awesome. Can't wait until 7pm when it's dark to try them out.

Two secs I'll go do it now for you..................................................................................

Nope mine are the same. When I turn my high beam on the low beam goes off. Even if I just flash the lights the low beam goes off while flashing and comes on again when done.

Fogs stay on ok!

This is something I am definetely planning on doing to the Bravo because the standard headlights are p*ss poor when on dipped!

I was travelling on a country road the other night and couldnt see a thing unless I had the full beam on!

Well it's finally dark and I turned my lights on in the driveway next to my mums Panda with it's standard Halogens............

:eek::eek::eek:

The difference is massive!!!! I knew the standards were poor but that poor!!!!!

I've also had a mate drive in front of me and drive towards me on the road outside the house and he says there's no dazzle or blinding of him as I drive by or behind him so all in all a successful upgrade (y)

and can you take a pic of them shining against something but have the car 20+ meters away from the wall to see if you have much blurring above the straight line there should be

technically you need cleaners fitting too.. but not sure how that makes them less blinding to oncoming drivers.
Yes there is a alot of talk about them being illegal when fitted to standard halogen light lenses. The HIDs may be legal but when fitted to a car that had standard halogen light bulbs this makes the setup illegal
