Right if we aimed for end of January/beginning of February? Ive been in contact with Dastek in Fife and their package sounds really good, but I havent booked anything concrete yet.

i agree with what you're saying about his customer service, but i could'nt give a toss after i recieved my induction kit coz after i put it on, it was such a good product that i had forgot about it!! :D

Just out of interest, how long roughly does it take to get a GSR kit? A month or 2 or is it a case of "How long is a piece of string?"

Think the GSR would be the best option for my 1.2, certainly don't want to just bolt on a K&N :?

Roughly what I figured. Shall perhaps pop in an order in the next month or 2. Cheers :D

Hmmmm - hold off.
I have something in the pipeline that I'm working on and need a normally aspirated Stilo guniea pig :)
Customer support will be 1st class

took two and a half month, but still worth the wait!!

You were lucky quite often he doesnt even have he decency to get back to people ..his products can do damage to your engine as well if they suck up water from the road ..and its happened already to people on other forums..of course he will hide his head in the sand hoping it will all go away ..BUT IT WONT>>

Well, mine's been in for 6 months, its been fine and its not exactly dry up here. you do have to get on at him alot though, but hes not everyones cup of tea, lol!!

but i think abzstilo's idea is the way to go though, sounds good! but back on topic, have you got a definate place for the RR yet, stuarty?

whats all the bad stuff about the gsr's im hearing? theres also alot of people who are very happy with the gsr kits, though i do have to say, i think the panda one looks hugely flawed, sits far too low and can pick up water.

i've designed my own induction system for my car (seicento), still sourcing parts to finish it off before fitting and full blown testing can begin, but im pretty sure for the sei anyway, i can actually make a very small gain on what a gsr can give, and have none of the disadvantages :D

Still on the subject of GSR (though I'm still perhaps up for the RR if cash is available ;) ), the one for the 1.2 Stilo (and the rest of the Stilo range if memory serves) sits rather low as well from the pics I've seen. I can see why that option would be used though since the cold air flow is so prevalent at that point in the bay (I think). Have heard about people without under trays that went through a deep puddle or flood water and it ended up sucking the water into the intake...not leading to good things of course.

I'm one of the few Stilo drivers with an under tray, from what I've heard anyway, so still considering the GSR. Not sure what other good induction kits are available for a 1.2 Stilo out there. And by good, I mean one's which actually increase power and torque effectively rather than just making a lot of noise. Thought about a BMC, but couldn't find one apart from a vague reference on the Angel Tuning site. There was also the interesting looking Pipercross Viper kit, though it looks like the most expensive option of the kits available. I'd like to do something better than just sticking a K&N on, though a few people I know did see increases in torque and power output with one.

Vaguely on the subject of the RR, read an article or test of an iPhone app that uses the accelerometer to do all kinds of stuff like 0-60 times, g-forces and work out the bhp. Obviously wouldn't be as accurate as a proper RR, but interesting nonetheless. Plus it only costs £7 or so. Just need to get an iPhone though

hi, im up for rr as going to get one done on end of month ,then hopefully if turbo fits [get rr then remap] about end of january early febuary,

want too see the difference[if turbo dos,nt fit then i still want remap to iron out couple of flat spots, and lower reve figure torque to about 2500rpm],

i might be going to a place in fife with 106/saxo owners club as cousin is forum admin, they get great turn out plus good prices usually[will find if any more spaces up for grabs and date]

ps ,im just going to blow off all the french tin cans [lol].
