2014 Panda showing error code P0520(67) saying oil pressure switch electrical fault.
I have replaced the switch but no difference, plus oil and filter, also battery replaced. Also all lights checked.
Occasionally the amber triangle goes out. It would appear that when the fault is clear the engine does not need to be started just ignition on and the triangle goes out. When faulty it stays on whether engines started or not.
Any ideas as MOT due shortly.

Is the oil pressure sensor electrical plug nice and clean inside? Not unknown for oil to be forced through the sensor into the wiring loom causing all sorts of nasty issues
I had the same problem the oil pressure sensor isn’t earthen wrapp a piece of wire round the oil sensor then to any bolt and see if your light goes out

Yes this has been noted before. The sensor should naturally earth as its screwed into the metal engine. Some stop earthing and have no contact to earth. I think previous post was in the 500 forum about 18 months ago.

I think there was a post and the gentleman who posted it even had photos because it helped me out

Hi Gerry tried that but light still on. Earth is good on the sensor and cable is clean no oil

Thank you everyone for your comments. I eventually got it and it was the sensor body not earthing! Like Gerry said.
The solution was a bit heath robinson as I had to add an earth point to the hex using a tiny self tapper screw.
I would love to know what Fiat do to resolve the issue as the sensor is at rear of engine in a difficult area to work.

Hi I take it you replaced the oil pressure sensor

first class I phoned fiat and there solution was to change the filter housing it’s a lot of money here in Northern Ireland the yellow triangle doesn’t effect the mot it has to be red

That’s interesting about the MOT.
I forgot something that could be useful to others and that is the engine does not need to be started to check triangle as it is purely an indicator for any errors that the ECU should pick up when it checks round the system. Starting the engine only leads to misconceptions of what the fault is.
Anyway thanks a
