Hello guys I just got back from offshore and went for a drive and still when I open the glove box I smell the electrical burning, I took it all out again but no wires are burning or melted. Seems like it's coming from the unit itself, I have an auto sparky looking at it Monday but has anyone had this problem?

Is this have RCA out? To connect amp and sub ?
 
can you let me know if you can connect amp to it? has it got RCA OUT? if yes how many ?
 
Dear Forum Members, I need your help.

I installed everything, but unit can be turned ON only with the ignition switched ON.

so, after HU installation I switched ignition on (with engine OFF), did some basic setup/exploring etc and then could not start the car anymore - probably due to battery being flat.

what could be wrong? anyone else had similar experience?

I don't think I understand your problem. Are you wanting the HU to be on when the ignition is off? If so why? It would have to be connected to a live feed, like from the battery but in this case the HU would always be on. I presume it draws alot of power but it's never made my battery go flat and I have a sub wired up too. Maybe you're battery was just giving up and the new HU just pushed it over the edge?
 
Quick question lads, did anyone actually get the postcode to work on the satnav? Tried to type it into the city and street but never come up the correct letters I needed??

Hello guys,

I'm very interested to buy one of this GPS headunit's for my GP, it really looks great.

But I'm a bit worried about the WINCE operating system on this units. Can someone tell me how responsive is the unit? How fells the touchscreen, does it lag while scrolling? Do the applications open and work smooth? With the RV camera, does the display switch automatically to the video when you engage the reverse gear?

Sorry for so much questions, butt I'm a detail freak :D.

Btw, does someone sell an used unit :)
 
I visited this website hoping to get a good deal on this stereo, and in the end after mentioning Daniel and initially ordering at full price and then cancelling, i got the stereo and a camera included for $350.

Which equates to around £220 which i think is fantastic.

Also the customer service is fantastic and the seller is a genuinely nice guy.

Will let you know what it is like when it arrives.
 
I really wanted one of these until i got to page 13 and read "electrical burning smell".

Any problems with these things? I was changing my opinion of buying from aliexpress until i read that...

I am interesting in buying a multimedia headunit too and I have some questions :)

-First of all, what can you say about burning smell which is mentioned on last pages??! Just one of you having a trouble, or more of you?

-Power consumption: is it safe to have unit powered on for radio listening (1 hour for example) with car turned off or better not too?

-What to buy: WinCE6 or Android headunit??? Are this Android headunits new on market? I guess that there are more options for different navigations, apps and hotspot internet on Android headunits? The choice is enormous if you take a look to aliexpress, and I really do not know which one will be good. They looks like prety much the same but price can differ a lot, I dont know why?? Is the 1024x600 max resolution of screen?

There are no youtube review videos of Android headunits??? Are they working as good as the headunit on first page of this thread? (When in reverse gear, automaticaly turned rear camera on, Door status shown in moment, etc...)

Do have anyone some fresh news on this headunits?
I will apritiate it, and also will apritiate some critics of 'old' owners.

Been watching this for the past month! Still contemplating giving this as a reward to my car if it passes the MOT (on my current thread, seems to be a distant dream), but I'm not 100% sure how the wiring works outside regular radio functions.
 
I am watching this for a long time too. On aliexpress I can see that sales are very bad, the best selling head unit was ordered only 22 times. Are this orders numbers based on month or all time? Like people have no idea how to nicely upgrade interior, or they are scared of china **** products and thinks that it will burn their cars :) There are some reviews of GP WinCE headunits, but funny is that there is no reviews of Android headunits on youtube, which should have better functionality... I don't know... bad order counters are pushing me away :)
