Hi everyone,
I have a 2013 fiat Doblo 1.6 multijet diesel,40,000 miles,ex royal mail, the engine light stays on and check engine message, runs and drives fine, have just been on a 200 mile motorway trip so dpf should not be clogged, have plugged in cheap scanner (works fine on most cars) but nothing at all comes up,it is as if the obd socket is completely dead, all the wiring looks ok and have checked all the fuses, any ideas? Thanks

If you suspect the EOBD port you can go online to check the pinouts, there should be two lives and two earth points from memory, which if careful can be confirmed with a multimeter.
I would also check all the fuses as the EOBD port is fused I think, looks like F36 in in car near EOBD port I think.
Mind you it could just be it doesn't like your scanner. The photo is from a 2010 Fiat Doblo 1.6 handbook.I had to get a MAXIECU diagnostic tool as I also have a Fiat Scudo which uses the Peugeot engine so MES fiat scanner can't see it. If you were a bit nearer we could have plugged mine in.

Trying to understand what you mean by "nothing at all comes up,it is as if the obd socket is completely dead"

First check there is power to the OBD socket, Pins/Sockets 4 and 16. https://obdsolaris.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/ODBII-Master-Pinout-699x1024.jpg

It could be that the fault putting the EML light on is not on/in the engine ECU but in one of the other ECUs (eg power steering, airbag, ....) not covered by your code reader.

Hi,have got a new scanner and have the fault code P2002 Generic DPF efficiency below threshold bank 1,any ideas please?

Ideally a better diagnostic tool will give readings on the DPF to see if it is blocked.
If it has only been used by Royal Mail in stop start deliveries there is a good chance of it being blocked, but really you need to see some more details from ECU.
