Hi I have a fiat 500x 65plate and about 3 weeks ago the driver side rear cluster stopped working mid journey.
I’ve checked the bulbs and the plug which has no sign of burning as stated in other posts.
I’ve checked the fuses I can find but as far as the passenger compartment lot is concerned I’m at a loss as to where they are. I’ve looked in all the suggested places but no joy.
I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out here.
Cheers

If all the lights in the rear O/S cluster are not working then this could be an earth connection problem.

All the lights are directly driven by the body computer module and there are no fuse between the BCM and each of the lights. However the BCM has a selection of fuses one of which may have blown.

The BCM also constitutes an interconnection unit that ensures a protected supply for many electrical
loads via fuses.
The BCM comprises two main boards:
• the power board, which contains the fuses, internal relays and power connections;
• the logic board which contains the microprocessor.
The Body Computer is positioned under the dashboard lining to the left of the steering wheel behind a
plastic cover which is removable for access to the fuses

I can’t see a detachable panel to the left of the steering wheel will I have to take the whole panel off?

used a touch and mirror l can see a metal box there with wires by it but I will have to take the whole panel off along with the under cover of the steering wheel.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated cheers.

Same issue with its big sister of that age, the renegade
It’s quite possibly the lamp itself, check the terminals for continuity to the bulbs, Earth first as it’s shared. Then check the connector on loom. There have been issues with shorts/arcing

Thanks porta I’ll try that next.
Someone said to check the wires in the boot by the hinges in case they have frared or broken will check both out tomorrow.

On the 500X the wires to the main rear light units do not go through the boot wiring hinge loom. They run either side of the car above/around the rear wheel arch.

Thanks for the help I managed to fix the problem, it was an earthing problem.
I took both light clusters off and connected the working one to the problem side and it worked. I connected the one with the problem to the other side and that worked.
Switched them back and they are both working.
😃
