TLDR: After battery disconnection my dashboard doesn't seem to be working - FIAT 500x 2017 1.4 petrol

I've searched on here but not been able to find the answer, or at least an answer I understand so apologies if its already been answered. After a short run in the car on returning to the vehicle it wouldn't start. This is the 2nd time it has happened. I got a jump start and managed to limp home, plugged the battery into a charger for a couple of hours and charged it to 100%.

Engine starts fine now but the dashboard isn't lighting up. Other electrics seem to be working okay.

Could it be a fuse, and if so where do I find out which fuse I need to check/ change? Sorry but I have also searched for the answer to the fuse question here and elsewhere and couldn't find the specific info I need.

And second question, this is the 2nd time the car hasn't started in 2 months, should I be getting a new battery?

Please can someone help me? I’m going out of my mind. I can’t get my car in for diagnostics until 9th April. Meanwhile I don’t know what speed I’m driving at or how much fuel I have. My indicators work but don’t make a noise in the car so I’m having to do it myself. And to top it off I scraped the bumper reversing because, you guessed it, no beep beep to tell me I was close to a wall.

When you say "dashboard" do you mean the instrument cluster?

Have you run MultiECU scan?

Hi, 🙂
why was the Battery disconnected..?

Some work done?

Or attempting to deal with a different issue? 🤔

Personally I would power it down again, see If something resets..

Where are you based? ,
somebody might be local to you with Diagnostic kit

The battery was flat so I got a power bank start. I’m in the North Highlands of Scotland.

You can check fuses #53 7,5A (B+) and #37 10A (RUN+) on the BCM. BCM is located under the steering column
Thanks Dimitry, is that on a right hand drive car?

First photo is what’s under steering column and second photo is what’s on left of column. Are either of these the fuse panel?
