New here,
Hi,
I started out just doing oil changes and quickly fell in love with the trade. I call it being a “doctor for cars”! It’s saved me a fortune—especially on my Land Rover, haha.
I’ve even started buying cars, fixing them up, and selling them. It’s going well, though as you know, things don’t always go according to plan!
Now I’ve run into a big problem. I have a Fiat 500 that I took to my local garage because of a noise. They told me it was the clutch, so I paid £500 to have it done—turns out, nope, the problem’s still there. Now they’re telling me it’s the gearbox.
This is exactly why I started learning the trade—because of situations like this where people get ripped off.
So here’s my question: after changing the gearbox, the car’s immobilizer is on and I’m getting a “fuel cut off” message. Any idea how I can sort this?
Appreciate any help! Worst case, it's a write-off, but I’m hoping not.
