A warning light yellow triangle with an exclamation has just come on, this is apparently a Generic warning light, can anybody please shed light on what this might apply to?

Hi and welcome

It is indeed a generic warning. Which means it could be anything. Does it give any further information on the dash?

Are all bulbs working?
All fluids up to level?
Oil changed within schedule?

If so, then scanning for codes would be the next step to find out what it's unhappy about.

Thank you, I think it might be a problem with the battery?
