Jock, I was meaning this reference, if the tool could have locked the cam pulley at the pulley end then just better for fitting, "belt and braces" lock the pulleys and mark the belt.


If the ebay tool kit still needed the cam cover off then it's not worth it for me.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes the tool which locks the cam - with it's offset locking "face" - needs the cam cover removed. It is held in place with bolts which pick up on the two tapped holes in the end of the head which are the holes where the cam cover bolts fit at that end of the cover.
