Suddenly, the car won't start. It's cranking, and it has a good battery, but it doesn't want to start. I replaced the high-pressure fuel pump and the fuel filter, but that didn't fix the problem. I checked if the injectors are getting fuel, but they aren't—not a single drop. However, the fuel pump in the reservoir is working. I think it's something related to an electrical issue, but I checked all the fuses, and they are good.
Can someone help me with this issue? Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Is the key code light illuminated on the instrument panel? When the ignition is switched on, the padlock symbol should light up for an instant, then go dark

Its lighting up and go dark after. The only things i observed are that the injector light comes on and stay on like 5 sec and it stops and the glow plug light appears and shuts down after 1 second. Thanks for helping me!

All the above seems normal, and I have checked on my x244 2.8jtd. The 2.8jtd does not have normal glowplugs, and will start at 0 C. without the flame starter.

There are 6 possible versions of the 2.8jtd, but I assume that yours has no EGR, has a metal fuel filter case, and flame starter, and is a Sofim 8140.43s, not the high power version.

Failure of either the crankshaft, camshaft, fuel pressure, or sensors would prevent starting. Also I think that the manifold pressure sensor may have the same effect, as the ECU would not be able to calculate the amount of fuel to be injected.

If the engine does have EGR then there may be problems with the EGR valve, or the throttle body.

Attached are engine management wiring diagrams applicable to the assumptions that I have made above. These diagrams are from Fiat eLearn, but the component names have been added by me. The letter "K" denotes a sensor.

@AgaMorb

You should also consider other non electrical causes. One possible cause is a fauly injector with excessive leak off. This could prevent reaching the minimum fuel rail pressure of 200 Bar at cranking speed. If this pressure is not reached, injection will not take place.

Hi again,
Just found this, while searching for something else. See post #18 on this thread.
