I would probably say no

It forgets your habbits
Ie treat throttle like a switch for example

i would say first few runs is a no
Afterthat it should be back to how it was

With my new ecu I`ve received some instructions for setup. It says press and depress clutch to know is a manual not a automatic, then start and leave it to get to normal running temp then the 5000rpm steps like in the link.

After those steps blinking error light gone. So the error light gone on first start basically.

I got no battery disconnect and ignition on and then off for 1min ,instructions, tho.
