Hi all,
My 65plate 3.0 Ducato sometimes develops a noise that I have done my best to describe below. it normally happens after maybe 7 - 10mins of driving. and continues until vehicle is switched off. sometimes it's back straight away and other times it's not. it's there probably 60 - 70% of the time.
Electronic whirring/buzzing noise coming from engine bay area that increases in pitch when acceleration is increased.
when the above noise is heard the exhaust note is noticeably deeper and seems to fluctuate every 3 - 5 seconds from deeper to normal whilst idling almost as if there is a valve opening and closing.
Can Sometimes hear Compressor surge when letting off acceleration although this happens less frequently but still only when this noise is apparent.
Does anyone have any idea as to what this may be? apologies but I don't have a video of the noise.
