This is a 2011 Fiat 500 312 with the Dualogic (CFC328) actuator. It's done 80k miles and the dualogic system has done about 1,000,000 gear changes with no DTCs saved until today.
We were idling (either in 1st gear or neutral, we're not sure) and 'check transmission' message came up. Turned the car off and on again, error did not recur and drove home perfectly fine.
Plugged in the code reader, nothing saved in the engine. Plugged in MultiECUScan and got:
There are a few reports on Alfa Romeos with selespeed as P1742 as being the PF2C sensor at the back of the dualogic actuator, but it seems like there are a lot of subtypes of P1742 and I can't find any information on P1742-1C specifically.
Has anyone run into this before? I have cleared the code for now and will wait and see if/when it recurs.
Cheers
