Drum brakes making a comeback?

The rear discs still give less aggro on all the cars I've had, so win-win!!!

I shall see how this set goes...

Looking at the state of the old ones I don't think the garage fitting them did a "proper" job in terms of cleaning up and freeing everything at fitting they never looked right in that the pads never cleaned up the whole disc so they were applying force unevenly.

At the minute the new set is wearing beautifully absolutely even and smooth faces on all discs which the old ones never did...but we'll see if that continues through winter.

In terms of performance though it's all very well saying the rears do nothing..but it's fairly clear driving the same car back to back...all discs is a superior set up.

When it comes down to it does anyone buy a car because it has drum or disc rear brakes? No. So it is what it is and you just get on with whatever the manufacturer decided was appropriate.

i probably would if it's a car i want, but on here it would make no difference given most Fiat cars struggle to pull the skin off river puffing
