I have a fiat punto evo (2011)(B4000)1.3 multijet, my dpf regenerates very often... When is it normal for it to regenerate?

I think you will find it is largely down to the type of use the vehicle gets.
So if you hammered up and down the Motorway all the time it wouldn't happen very often.
But if your journeys are short at low speed/low engine rpm, around town etc. and do not give the engine chance to fully warm up then that will cause the vehicle to attempt Regens more often, but unsuccessfully, this will gradually get worse until the DPF gets totally blocked and you are involved in an expensive replacement.:(
Many vehicle hand books suggest when engine indicates the need to do a Regen that the engine should be approx. 2000/3000Rpm roughly without interruption until the warning goes off, also there needs to be plenty of fuel in the tank.
What it boils down to is modern small diesels due to environmental laws are not suitable for low speed town use.
If that is the sort of use you do, then all I can suggest is firstly make sure your engine thermostat works properly in getting the engine to 90 degrees Centigrade/centre of gauge fairly quickly and use a DPF cleaner additive regularly as per instructions when you fill your vehicles fuel tank and if possible every few weeks give the vehicle a decent run at the engine rpm I mentioned for 20-30 minutes, this will give it the chance to clean it's self.:)
