The dpf light keeps coming on every start-up and goes off as soon as the engine get to temp

It's been driven a good 30 miles run on the motorway in 4th

Clogging is being shown as 62% currently but light has been on as low as 23%

It's rather annoying

I've only driven it like that it an attempt to get the light to stay off lol
Usually get a normal drive rest of the time

Just doesn't seem like it need the light on with such a low clog %

slightly related matter would you say the oil level on this is about right the oil on this dosnt seem to leave a clear mark of the stick to me
ive cleaner the dipstick off before reinserting it to get a new reading

Ps excuse the cracked Engine cover

Yes that oil level looks OK. The flattened and hatched area is the acceptable range.
No the DPF was the oil degredation counter reset at the last oil change?
How are you checking the clogging? If you have Multiecuscan you could force a DPF regeneration if all else fails.

Maybe it's just my eyes going wierd but it looks really clear now I looks at it again ?

And it will have been reset as the oil is sitting at 97% so reading as quite new

Maybe I should go back to supermarket fuel as only had the problem since I filled at shell last time ?

Regards dip stick take it out wipe off again put back in but don't push fully home leave 1/2" out then when you take out the level should be 1/2" down from the max mark

That's an issue with most modern oils.

To check the oil level, I'd suggest you follow this procedure.

1. Make sure the car is on level ground. Usefully, most garage forecourts are level, reasonably sheltered, and well lit.

2. Remove the dipstick and clean the whole length of it (not just the tip) using a clean cloth. This prevents any residual oil running back down the dipstick. You may need to repeat this process a couple of times to clear any oil from walls of the dipstick tube.

3. Insert the dipstick fully, then remove it, keeping it vertical.

4. Without turning the dipstick on its side, take the reading. It's important not to turn the dipstick on its side (the natural thing to do), as oil will flow along it, giving a false or confusing reading.

Hope this helps.
