How would I know if it has these things, its a 1.2 lounge. (11 plate)
There will be an are button on he dash by the rear window demister switch if it does
No real loss
That's because you can't drive
That's like asking me what i'd do (other than shooting him) if Trayvon Martin was beating the crap out of me, the point is that I'm not going to get myself in that position in the first place. For example esp kept me in the lane i was in instead of countersteering and changing lanes. Esp appled brakes on the front right brake only which is impossible to do without esp. Unless maxi has figured out a way to only brake the front right wheel. Maxi can you share with us how to brake the front right wheel only?
If the ESP on the 500 was switchable then I would have specced it as it is a good feature, but personally I'd rather be able to find myself a nice safe bit of road where I can play and drive how I want and not how the car thinks I should.
Normally, you can switch ESP by disabling the steering angle sensor, but with EPAS, I don't think that will work. On the other hand, the ESP threshold is set pretty high, even for a track. The only way I've set off ESP is by deliberately swerving suddenly and aggressively.
ASR strangles your fun a bit, but thankfully is fully switchable.
